Denise Ames and Nancy Harmon have a life-long passion for learning, experiencing, and teaching about history, global issues, diverse cultures, the global economy, and global awareness education. They recognize that there is a need to refocus our textbooks, teaching, and educational resources to promote a holistic approach and global perspective.
This passion has inspired them to create and offer a diverse array of professional services – workshops, classes, lectures, keynotes, presentations, consulting, and seminars – that center around the topics of a holistic world history, the global economy, global education, global issues, cultural awareness, diverse worldviews, and global awareness. These services are for educators, students, and the general public.
These professional services offer our unique insights into global awareness – knowledge, skills, attitudes, and engagement – necessary for educational success in the 21st century.
The Center for Global Awareness offers three Professional Services categories…
